ASL Academician Huda Zoghbi was awarded the 2019 Victor A. McKusick Leadership Award from the American Society of Human Genetics. This prestigious award honors the late Dr. Victor A. McKusick, a founding father of the field of Medical Genetics, and is presented “to an individual whose professional achievements have fostered and enriched the development of various human genetics disciplines” and who exemplifies “the enduring leadership and vision required to ensure that the field of human genetics will flourish and successfully assimilate into the broader context of science, medicine, and health”.
